How to Style Athleisure: A Weekend of Outfits in lululemon

TGIF, am I right?!

As we transition from all-day pajamas during quarantine to having to put together outfits and had back into the real world, the struggle can be real. (Is anyone else seriously dreading putting on a pair of jeans after all those quarantine snacks??)

Why not keep some of that comfort we’ve all grown accustomed to in our wardrobes?

I’ve put together 9 functional + fashionable outfits to take you from your workouts to the office to date night – using only stretchy, yet stylish athleisure from lululemon.

Friday

Workout: Peloton | SoulCycle | Spin

• Energy Bra Longline | Designed to provide medium support for B-D cups, I think this is the most universal bra lululemon makes. I’ve had A/B/C/D/DD ladies wear this bra and love it, so it’s definitely worth a try no matter what your cup size. As for determining which size to order, the numbered sizing corresponds to band sizes (4=32, 6=34, 8=36, etc.). Larger cups may need to size up in the numbered size to balance coverage/support needs.
• Breeze By Muscle Crop Tank | Strategically-placed mesh guarantees this tank offers optimal breathability and ventilation. The cropped length pairs perfectly with high-rise shorts/leggings.
• Fast And Free Short 10″ | Although I prefer the 6″ version of the Align Shorts, I like the extra 4″ on these when I’m on the bike. I have a pair of the 6″ F&Fs, but I’ve found the bottom seam hits my leg at the same spot the bike seat hits my leg and can be irritating during my ride. The 10″ pair takes this problem out of the equation in two ways: (1) they’re longer obviously and (2) the bottom hem is laser cut so there’s so stitch to hit on anything.
• Uplifting Scrunchie | Aside from the practical use of tying my hair back, I love using a scrunchie as a small pop of color when wearing a lot of neutrals – which, for me, is basically everyday.
• Purist Cycling Water Bottle 26 oz | Although lululemon has newer water bottle styles, I prefer the simplicity of this design. It fits perfectly in the bottle holder on my bike and in my gym bag, and the no-fuss lid means I don’t have to fumble with unscrewing or flipping anything mid-workout.

Work: Office Casual

• Like Nothing Bra | This bra is a steal at only $19! Minimal seams, hardware and layers make for a naked-in-a-good-way sensation with even support and a natural shape. Over time, the sweat-wicking fabric molds to your body for a personalized fit. Just don’t wear it for workouts; as the name implies, it’ll feel like wearing nothing and isn’t intended to provide support during your workouts.
• Love Crew | These soft Pima cotton tees are the ultimate basic, but lux basic. I have a ton of these (and the tank and v-neck versions) in my closet and wear them with leggings, shorts and jeans.
• Find Your Calm Wrap | Does anyone else’s significant other make sure you have a jacket or sweater before leaving the house with you bc he knows you’ll inevitably get cold and complain about it?? I always have a spare long sleeve layer in my bag and in my car, just in case.
• Keep Moving Pant High-Rise | Make your post-quarantine transition from work-from-home to office easier with these high-rise cousins of the OTF Pants. The super stretchy Luxtreme fabric is breathable and moisture-wicking, so you’ll feel like you’re wearing loungewear but you’ll look office-ready.
• InvisiWear Hipster | Say adios to panty lines with these miracle hipsters. Thanks to free cut hems at the legs, you can wear these full coverage undies under leggings, tight dresses, etc with no VPLs in sight.
• Now and Always Tote *25L | The Now and Always line was inspired by the iconic lululemon shopper and comes in a few different sizes. The largest tote is a perfect work companion with a padded laptop pocket, an interior pocket to help organize essentials and a water bottle pocket so you always have hydration at hand.

Happy Hour

• Align Tank | If you can snag one of these, consider yourself lucky. Made of buttery-soft Nulu fabric, this tank is ultra comfy yet oh-so-flattering. The built-in bra and v-neckline give your bust a boost, so consider sizing up if that’s not what you’re looking for.
• Exaltation Wrap | This reversible wrap is on markdown and comes in three color combos. Soft Merino Wool is naturally thermoregulating, making it the perfect companion for fluctuating temperatures.
• Take The Moment Pant | Part of the Robert Geller collaboration, these water- and wrinkle-resistant trousers expertly combine fashion and utility. And they’re on markdown! 
• Now and Always Tote *Micro | The Now and Always line was inspired by the iconic lululemon shopper and comes in a few different sizes. The *Micro is the smallest of the line and is just so darn cute. Carry it as-is or convert it to a crossbody with the removable shoulder strap.
• Basic Balm | This no-shine, non-sticky formula leaves you with a natural look and feel, while rich butters and natural oils hydrate and protect.
• Made By Yoke Kapha Aromatherapy Oil | Use this invigorating ayurvedic oil blend to balance and decongest oily skin.

Workout: CrossFit | HIIT

• Glow On Hair Ties | I get asked all the time if the metal lululemon piece on these ponytail holders gets tangled in my hair, and the answer is a resounding no. I have long, thick wavy hair and I have never had a problem with these ties getting stuck or tangled in my hair, so rest easy on that point.

Morning-After Brunch

• All Yours Tee | One of my favorite things to wear at home is a big, oversized t-shirt. Before lululemon started making soft cotton tees for women, I resorted to buying XL 5 Year Basics; those days are a thing of the past thanks to these four-way stretch, relaxed fit tees.

• Align Short 6″ | I’ve been living in these comfy Nulu shorts during quarantine and, even though I’m venturing back out into the world, I honestly don’t see that trend changing anytime soon. I have 6 pairs and I still have to wash them all every week. I’m 5’4″ and the 6″ length is perfect on me, but they do also come in 4″, 8″ and 10″ inseams.
