College football may’ve technically started last weekend, but for me it’s not official until Georgia kicks off against Vanderbilt tonight at 7:30pm.
I know I’m not alone when I say Fall is my favorite season of the year. But it’s not because of pumpkin spice lattes or the changing colors of leaves. For me, it’s all about Saturdays spent watching college football and drinking beers decked out in all the red and black I can find.
Funny thing is, I realized last football season that I don’t have very much fan gear for my Alma Mater. An Ohio State alum friend called me out and I got to thinking about how exactly that was possible. See, the thing is, when I was in college we dressed up for game days. Dressed up dressed up. We wore red and black, duh, but we wore dresses and skirts and little tank tops.
So now, here I find myself, Bulldawg fan gear lacking and going into another football season woefully unprepared. But don’t you worry about me; I’m a problem solver, you see. I went shopping!
I spent more than a couple hours searching the web high and low for cute UGA shirts so you don’t have to. Turns out it’s harder than you’d think to find something other than the traditional unisex tees or the “we call it ladies cut but really it’s made for small children” tees. Check out what I ordered & what’s still sitting in my shopping cart for next time.Continue reading “Getting Dressed for (Georgia) Gameday”
