LIKEtoKNOW.it Round-Up for March 2020 (+ How to Use LTK)

A monthly collection of my most popular LTK posts ICYMI

With March coming to a close, it’s time for my four month LIKEtoKNOW.it platform check in. As I mentioned way back in December’s round-up, this is very much a learning process for me – which has been both fun and overwhelming at times.

So far, I’ve had much more success with building an engaged audience through my blog posts than I have through my LTK-specific posts. While I’ve seen a huge uptick in traffic on my blog during this surreal quarantine, progress earning followers on LTK has pretty much come to a halt. But that’s ok; the world is weird right now and nothing is operating normally. Including myself.

I haven’t been hugely focused on LTK, choosing instead to expend my energies on the blog instead.

I’ve been fleshing out some drafts of blog posts I’d like to fully finish and publish once we start venturing back into a social world. I’ve also been spending time working with Canva – testing out some template ideas, playing around with formatting and just overall getting more used to the platform. My third big focus in March has been SEO and I’ve seen a huge ROI on my time; it’s been fun seeing an almost immediate pay-off in traffic after just a little tweaking with SEO in mind and I’m excited to continue to play around and learn in that area.

I’m giving myself grace for dropping the LIKEtoKNOW.it ball in March, but recommitting in April to my goal of earning 50 LTK followers. I’ve been bad about posting content there and I’m sure it’s a large part of why I haven’t had any new likes/follows over the last month. I’ve been doing quite a bit of brainstorming though and have a ton of content ideas for the month of April, so stay tuned!

If using LIKEtoKNOW.it is just as new to you as it is to me, let me explain a little about what it is and how to use it.

What is LIKEtoKNOW.it?

Basically, it’s an app that connects you to all your favorite influencers + bloggers and allows you to see direct links to what they’re posting about — clothes, make-up, hair products, home decor, etc.

How Does LIKEtoKNOW.it Work?

You can either create an account here and link your instagram account to your profile or you can download the mobile app the App Store and sign up there. (If you’re a blogger who wants to apply to the platform, follow me on IG then DM me for a referral!)

When you “like” a blogger/influencer’s photo, the product details from that photo will be sent directly to your email inbox and you can shop from that email. Within the app, all your likes and screenshots will be saved to your personal “likes” feed so you can shop them all in one place.

But here’s the coolest part …

Ever seen that little heart/circle logo in the bottom right corner of an IG story or post and wondered what it was? Well, that’s the LTK logo and what it allows you to do is mind-blowing. You can actually screenshot those stories/posts and they’ll automatically appear in your feed on the app for easy shopping.

Now that you know how to use it, here are a few of my most popular posts on the LIKEtoKNOW.it platform from the month of March. Be sure to follow me on LTK to see all of my posts!

[ And remember: that little heart/circle logo means you can screenshot any of these photos and shop them directly in your LTK app! ]

At the bottom of this post, I’ve also included a list of my top 10 selling items from the month of March. Be sure to click through the list to see what your fellow LMBL readers are buying.

meet your newest styling bff

Three reasons why forced self-isolation is the perfect time to test out new styling/beauty products: (1) if you hate it, no one can see you anyway, (2) if you love it, you have some great IG content and (3) you’ve already watching everything on Netflix and need a new hobby.
