7 Drybar Products I Can’t Live Without

7 products I use every week and would be lost without

I consider myself a pretty low maintenance girl beauty-routine-wise, but there are a handful of products that I’m obsessed with and use on a daily basis. And when it comes to haircare, most of those are from Drybar. The price point is moderate, the scents are feminine & delicate rather than overpowering and they really get the job done.

So, in no particular order, here are the 7 Drybar products I use every week and would literally be lost without.

1. Prep Rally Prime & Prep Detangler

Formulated with biotin, Vitamins B & C and UV blockers, this detangler protects hair from heat up to 450°F and increases hair strength/elasticity deep into the fiber of hair. Sea Berry Oil maintains moisture in the hair shaft to leave your hair feeling soft and conditioned.

After towel drying my hair, (before using any other products) I generously spray Prep Rally to make brushing my hair easier. I switched over from another brand’s leave-in conditioner because it left my hair feeling greasy. But with Prep Rally, there’s no leftover residue, just brushable hair ready to be dried and styled.

The scent is fresh but not overwhelming; there are notes of ginger, mint and sandalwood.

This product is made with no parabens, sulfates or phthalates and it’s not tested on animals. Plus it’s great for all hair types.

2. Jump Start Quick Dry Blowout Serum

I actually just started using this product after getting a free sample with a recent Sephora order. I was skeptical at first, but holy moly, it does actually work! I have a lot of hair … and it’s long … and it takes a long time for it to dry.

I got a Dyson Hair Wrap for Christmas last year and that already significantly cut down my drying time. So when I saw this as one of the free sample options on Sephora, I figured I give it a try. I mean, I already swear by a couple tried & true Drybar products, and if could cut my blow-drying time by a few more minutes, it was at least worth trying.

And guys, it worked! It worked so well that before I’d even used up the free sample, I’d already ordered a full-size version. As I said, the Dyson had already cut my dry time by more than half. Add in Jump Start and my dry time is down to less than 10 minutes. No lie.

Added bonus, this silicone-free serum also protects hair from heat up to 450°F and helps to increase moisture, boost shine and control frizz. The light floral scent has notes of jasmine, black pepper and sandalwood.

This product is made with no parabens, sulfates or phthalates and it’s not tested on animals. It’s great for all hair types, but use lightly on fine hair.

3. Detox Dry Conditioner

For years, all I used was dry shampoo. I’d never even heard of dry conditioner. But last year while on the Drybar website stocking up on dry conditioner, I started browsing around and stumbled upon this product. On a whim, I added it to my cart and it started a downslide into my obsession with all the other products listed in this post.

This Argan oil, mango butter and Tiare flower formula hydrates, smooths frizz, softens and detangles like a traditional conditioner, without the need to wash.

After working dry shampoo into my roots, I spray this from the mid-shaft of my hair all the way to the ends. I love how fresh my hair feels, looks and smells after using! I like the original scent (it has notes of jasmine, sandalwood and vanilla) without being overbearing.

This product is free of paragons, sulfates and phthalates and it’s not tested on animals. Plus it’s great for all hair types.

4. Detox Dry Shampoo

I’ve used a lot of dry shampoos in my life, and this is by far my favorite. It’s lightweight, effective and smells great! In a pinch, I’ll use other brands and I have a few on hand for emergencies, but this is my go-to. It absorbs oil without feeling heavy and leaves my hair totally soft-to-the-touch (important to me because I have a bad habit of touching/messing with my hair a lot) and completely moveable. I love that there’s no residue or left-over evidence I’ve dry shampooed instead of washed my hair.

Micro-fine Rice Powders absorb excess oils and odors, while Golden Root Extract increases moisture to prevent dryness and breakage.

Just like the Drybar Detox Dry Conditioner, I use this in original scent. It’s completely light and not overwhelming, but has the same notes of jasmine, sandalwood and madagascar vanilla as the Dry Conditioner. After using this, my hair always feels (and smells) clean and refreshed.

This product is made with no parabens, sulfates or phthalates and it’s not tested on animals. Plus, it’s great for all hair types.

5. Sparkling Soda Shine Mist

After styling my hair – whether straightening, curling or waving – I lightly spray Sparking Soda on my hair for a high-gloss finish and to calm frizz and flyaways. I usually spray directly onto my hair, but occasionally I’ll spray onto my hands and finger-comb it through my hair instead.

Mandarin Peel and Marigold Flower Extract create high-shine without weighting hair down, while Camelina Oil adds hydration and boosts elasticity. It has a light scent with notes of coconut, amber and vanilla.

This product is great for all hair types, but use lightly on fine hair. If you’re using hairspray as well, use this first and apply hairspray of your choice over it.

6. The Kicker Finishing Spray Wax

The Kicker is the least used Drybar product in my bathroom, but only because I wear my hair straight most of the time. Mostly because it’s easier and I’m not a fan of spending an hour styling my hair. But every few weeks I get an urge to do something a little more beachy – and that’s where this styling wax comes in.

After drying, but before styling, I’ll spray this in my hands and finger-comb it through my hair. Then after using my styling wand, I’ll spray it directly onto my hair and scrunch/tousle my waves. It helps prevent flyaways and provides some light hold.

Honey extract provides texture and a light tacky feel, Algae Extract protects the hair fiber and Microcrystalline Wax provides a light, re-workable texture. Like the Sparking Soda Shine Mist, the scent has notes of coconut, amber and vanilla.

This product is made with no gluten, keratin, parabens, sulfates or phthalates and it’s not tested on animals. Plus it’s great for all hair types; however, you’ll want to use it lightly on fine hair.

7. Shimmer Spritzer Finishing Spray

This last one is more of a fun once-in-a-blue-moon use kinda product versus an everyday staple. I’ll use this for nights out when I want an extra touch of something a little more wild.

This limited edition shimmer spray adds three-dimensional sparkle, light hold and a hint of either gold or rose gold highlighting to your hair. And it washes away with one shampoo. I love that I can have something a little funky one night and go back to my normal style the very next day.

The light scent has notes of coconut, amber and vanilla.

This product is made with no parabens, sulfates or phthalates and it’s not tested on animals. Plus, it’s great for all hair types.
