How many Atlanta United jerseys is too many? #askingforafriend

Hi, my name is Rebecca and I’m obsessed with camo.

There, I said it (again). The first step to fixing a problem is admitting you have one, right?

My lululemon Tuesday Top Five posts are littered with pictures of new camo prints and styles. My closet is slowly being taken over by various camo print Aligns and Fast & Frees. I have camo print underwear, sweatshirts and sports bras.

And now I have a camo print Atlanta United jersey! Or at least I will on September 3 when it gets delivered.

I don’t know exactly when it was released, but I spotted this warm-up jersey a couple games ago and haven’t stopped thinking about it. When I went to order it last week, it was SOLD OUT *whomp whomp* … But while looking online for something else ATL UTD-related yesterday, I happened to stumble upon a site that had restocked them (or at least had them on backorder rather than being sold out).

Aside from my obvious general excitement over being able to add to my camo collection, this will be a fun jersey to wear to any games focused on honoring the military/vets. I’m not typically a fan of the special edition jerseys, but I’m excited about this one! (It’s an unpopular opinion, but the orange and white King Peach jersey is just not my jam.)

Since I didn’t have the opportunity to try it on, I ordered the same size I just got in the new men’s 2019 Stars and Stripes Jersey – a medium. Fingers crossed it fits! The first jersey I got was a ladies fit and I wore it the first two seasons; this season though I wanted something with a little more length and breathability, so I got a men’s jersey.

The question is, how many Atlanta United jerseys do I actually need? Because now I have three (the ladies cut from 2017, the 2019 Stars and Stripes & now the camo).

And there’s a second special edition I’ve had my eye on: the Americana Pre-match Jersey. I like the colors, obviously – who doesn’t like the red, white & blue color scheme?? But I like the star design too. And what else am I gonna wear on July 4th??? Realistically though, I’m not sure I need it. And even if I did, I’m not sure I can still get my hands on one. You gotta act fast on these special editions and I may’ve missed the boat on this one.

Annnnnnd, while we’re talking about it, I’m into these Viva Atlanta tees (men’s/women’s) with the sugar skulls too. I think I have a problem, guys.

For now, I think I’m good with having three jerseys in our third season. We just got our renewal confirmation for next season, so I can start thinking about adding a fourth one in 2020.

Once you’ve decided on a jersey, don’t forget to grab tickets to the next game!
